Emiriana Sako completed his higher education from 2002 to 2008 at the Polytechnic University of Tirana, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Department of Architecture – Master of Science.
In 2011–2012, Sako completed a professional master’s program in Housing at Roma Tre University in Rome, focusing on new ways of living through innovation and transformation.
Sako has also completed a series of important trainings, including those organized by the U.S. Department of State: International Exchange Alumni, International Visitor Leadership Program with a focus on Persons with Disabilities, energy auditing organized by Polis University in Tirana, among others.
Emiriana Sako is a professional architect with over 12 years of progressive experience, contributing to the development of the city of Durrës.
Sako has participated in all of Durrës’ major projects, collaborating with well-known international studios on them. She is one of the drafters of the local master plan and a co-designer of several of the city’s largest urban projects.
During these 12 years at the Municipality of Durrës, Sako worked in the Directorate of Planning and Territorial Development, then continued as Director of Services, General Director of Services, and later as Deputy Mayor of Durrës.
