Në kuadër të zbatimit të projektit EDEN – Ecological Development through farming for enhancing the urban Environment , të financuar nga programi Interreg IPA SOUTH ADRIATIC, Bashkia Durrës në bashkëpunim me partnerin tjetër nga Shqipëria, Organizata “Udhëtimi i Lirë”, ka organizuar eventin ndërkombëtar “Incoming Mission 4 in Durrës”, më datë 19 maj 2026, ku ishin të pranishëm edhe përfaqësues nga vendet partenere si Italia, përfaqësues nga Bashkia Durrës dhe institucionet e tjera në nivel lokal dhe rajonal, përfaqësues nga Organizata të Shoqërisë Civile dhe trupa akademike.
Gjatë sesioneve të diskutimeve me aktorët pjesëmarrës, u ftuan përfaqësues të institucioneve në nivel lokal dhe rajonal si edhe eskpertë të fushës për të ndarë ide dhe përvoja në lidhje me bujqësinë urbane dhe biodiversitetin.
Ky takim shkëmbimi midis partnerëve do të ndihmojë në krijimin e një rrjeti bashkëpunues që çon projektin përpara.
Qëllimi i përgjithshëm i Projektit EDEN është krijimi i hapësirave të gjelbra pilote që mbështesin florën dhe faunën lokale, ruajnë biodiversitetin bimor dhe përfshijnë komunitetet lokale përmes edukimit dhe angazhimit. Projekti është në përputhje me Prioritetin e Programit PA2 – Një Adriatik i Jugut më i gjelbër dhe Objektivin Specifik SO 2.2 (mbrojtja e natyrës, biodiversiteti dhe reduktimi i ndotjes).
Within the framework of the implementation of the EDEN – Ecological Development through farming for enhancing the urban Environment project, funded by the Interreg IPA SOUTH ADRIATIC program, the Municipality of Durrës in cooperation with the other partner from Albania, the “Udhëtimi i Lirë/Liberi di Viaggiare” Organization, has organized the international event “Incoming Mission 4 in Durrës”, on May 19, 2026, where representatives from partner countries such as Italy, representatives from the Municipality of Durrës and other institutions at local and regional levels, representatives from Civil Society Organizations and academic bodies were also present.
During the discussion sessions with the participating actors, representatives of institutions at local and regional levels as well as experts in the field were invited to share ideas and experiences regarding urban agriculture and biodiversity.
This exchange meeting between the partners will help create a collaborative network that drives the project forward.
The overall aim of the EDEN Project is to create pilot green spaces that support local flora and fauna, preserve plant biodiversity and involve local communities through education and engagement. The project is in line with Programme Priority PA2 – A Greener South Adriatic and Specific Objective SO 2.2 (nature protection, biodiversity and pollution reduction).
